Intrigue
A candlelit 1920s dinner party: masked guests in evening dress gasp at an empty chair, a glass of red wine spilled across the white tablecloth, and a phone glowing face-down on the table.

A murder-mystery party, hosted by your phone

Someone at this table did it. Possibly you.

Intrigue turns your dinner party into a murder. Every guest gets a secret character on their phone. Clues, rumors and betrayals arrive between courses. And for once, the host doesn't have to know whodunit.

How a night of Intrigue works

  1. Send the invitations. Pick a case and a guest count (6 to 12). Each guest gets a link before the party, with their character, a costume idea and one secret.
  2. Arrive in character. On the night, phones become dossiers: your public face, your private secret, three things you must accomplish before dessert.
  3. Clues arrive by course. Between cocktails, dinner and dessert, new clues, rumors and twists land on different phones. Trade them, hide them, lie about them.
  4. Accuse over dessert. Everyone votes. The app reveals the truth, scores the objectives, and crowns the best liar at the table.

Death at Wrenfield House, 1926

Lord Ambrose Wrenfield invited six people to dinner. At 9:40 p.m. the butler found him in the library, still in his chair at the chessboard, a glass of port at his elbow. He did not get up again. You have three courses to work out who arranged it.

    Evidence from the library

At a real party these turn up in envelopes, under plates and in coat pockets. Here, they're on the table. Look closer.

Murder-mystery props on green velvet: wax-sealed envelopes, a brass skeleton key, a stopped pocket watch, an amber bottle, a silver letter opener, a broken pearl necklace, a monocle, a phone and a white glove.
